Symptoms

After the Steam Deck UI shows "Launching executable", nothing actually happens and the game does not boot, requiring "Abort game" to be selected. Similarly in Desktop Mode, the game lists itself as "running", but no window ever appears.

Reproduction

1. Attempt to launch the game with Proton
2. No window or graphics appear, game must be force closed.

Reproduce the launch failure with Proton 8.0-1 using Steam AppID 332250, then inspect the attached steam-332250.log for the startup failure. Compare behavior in Steam Deck UI and Desktop Mode; the issue is resolved when the game opens a window and no longer requires force-closing.
