Symptoms
Two issues with the game
- Fullscreen mode does not work, it behaves like one has selected windowed. Borderless mode does however work. I see the same issue in the previous game in the series too #6166
- Videos background menu/cut-scenes just display a placeholder/test screen
Reproduction
Issue 1 Fullscreen mode does not work
- Try to select fullscreen mode in games options, notice how it does nothing just stays windowed
Issue 2 Videos/cut-scenes
- Start game and observe the background menu video is just a placeholder
The videos are working with GE-Proton7-49, videos are in WMV3/VC-1 format

Research direction
Start by reproducing both issues with the reported Proton version, then review steam-2130460.log, media_info.txt, and system_info.txt. Compare the behavior with GE-Proton7-49, where the WMV3/VC-1 videos work. Done means fullscreen selection changes the display mode and the menu and cut-scene videos render instead of showing placeholders.
