I managed to get the game to work with lutris-GE-Proton7-35, but not with lutris-7.2-2 or any regularly available, up to date version of wine (7/8) or proton (7.0/Experimental)

Symptoms

after starting a new game, a cut scene should play

instead of the cut scene, in mainline Proton a black screen is displayed

and in Experimental, a Display test pattern is displayed

Reproduction

1. launch the game
2. click "new game"
3. follow instruction and press left click
4. see black screen/test pattern instead of cut scene

Compare mainline Proton, Experimental, and lutris-GE-Proton7-35; done means the MINDHACK Demo cutscene renders instead of a black screen or display test pattern.
