I confirm:
- that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
- that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.
Symptoms
I see two problems with the game:
- Game gets stuck in a loop if not making a dialogue choice fast enough
- Video goes black in some conditions
Reproduction
Issue 1 (Game gets stuck in a loop if not making a dialogue choice fast enough)
- Start game and watch the intro video
- When you get dialogue options, do not select anything
- The video pauses, and if you click something it will loop from the beginning but you will not be able to proceed
(What I presume is supposed to happen, is that a portion of the video loops until you have made a dialogue choice. Or that the video pauses until you have made a choice and then the game continues to the next scene)
Issue 2 (Video goes black in some conditions)
- Start game and watch the intro video
- When you get dialogue options, select something fast
- On the very first room in the game, observe how the video goes blank if you hover the mouse over certain parts of the screen
(What is supposed to happen probably is that you get a different video/picture depending on where you hover the mouse pointer)
I tried Proton standard, Hotfix, Experimental and GE, same problems persisted with all of them.

Research direction
The report names no source file, test, or entry point. Start by reproducing both issues with the attached steam-2150830.zip log across the listed Proton versions; completion would require identifying the compatibility cause and showing that dialogue playback and hover-triggered video now behave as expected.
