Reproduction

It will not launch the game as it doesn't seem to be compatible with EA's Anticheat.
The game launches (but crashes later on) when you work around EA's Anticheat, which means the logic is there. I will not give any details how to disable EA Anticheat, but it's needed anyway to play online.

Done would require a confirmed compatibility outcome for the reported “Wine is not supported” failure, with the requested PROTON_LOG attached if investigation proceeds.
