I confirm:
- that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
- that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.
Symptoms
Re-Volt ships with ddraw.dll and dinput.dll that are necessary for the game to function, but are ignored by Proton unless it is set manually in WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ddraw, dinput, dsound=n,b" %command% to use the native dlls.
The second problem is that the game runs at about 15 FPS after setting the resolution to 1080p. This can be worked around by installing DSOAL in the game's directory.
Reproduction
- Install the game on Steam.
- Try running it using latest Proton.

Research direction
Start by reviewing steam-287310.log and reproducing Re-Volt 287310 on Proton with the reported system information. Compare behavior with and without WINEDLLOVERRIDES and the DSOAL workaround; done means the DLL handling and 1080p performance issues are resolved without those manual workarounds.
