- Steam AppID of the game: 1150720
System Information
- GPU: AMD RX 6600XT
- Driver/LLVM version: Mesa 21.2.6
- Kernel version: 5.13.0-51-generic
- Proton version: Proton Experimental, 7.0-3, and older versions
I confirm:
- [ x ] that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
- [ x ] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.
Symptoms
The game runs. The background music plays properly. The only issue I see is that the game's sound effects loop. If I click "configuration" from the main menu, the "click" sound it makes keeps playing over and over again "click, click, click, click, click...". This same looping bug seems to be true for pretty much every sound that isn't the background music. This isn't a game bug, as the same issue isn't seen if the game is run under Win 10.
Reproduction
Start the game with Proton, click one of the menu items, and its corresponding sound will repeat, instead of playing once as it should. There is a report for this game on ProtonDB mentioning the same issue, so you likely don't need a specific set of hardware to create this issue. That said, my Steam system hardware info can be seen below if it's needed. A "PROTON_LOG" of the game has also been attached.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue with Monster Girl Club Bifrost (Steam AppID 1150720) under Proton and review the attached steam-1150720.log. Test the reported menu sound effects against the Windows 10 behavior; done means non-background sounds play once rather than looping.
