Symptoms

Here's a link to a video that shows the issue. It almost seems like the game is unable to load in the addressable data from Unity.

Reproduction

Try starting the game and it will fail to load the first scene after the disclaimer at the start of the game.

No repository file or test is named. First reproduce the failure on SteamOS 3.1 with Proton 6, 7, and Experimental, then collect the promised Proton logs and compare the failure after the disclaimer with the video. Done means identifying the cause of the first-scene loading failure and documenting or correcting the compatibility issue.
