Symptoms
With Proton Experimental, the mission video is a grey screen, then it's black and then it just freezes.
With Proton-GE, the video plays fine and I can get into the game.
However, others have already reported it working fine with Proton Experimental for them - so a problem somewhere with my setup?
Worse is how firing a weapon causing unplayable stutter, that just doesn't go away on my system making it not playable for me. Update: absolutely ensuring the KDE Compositor is off actually fixes the performance heh. Video issue still present though.
Reproduction
Get an NVIDIA GPU
Try and play it on Arch?

Research direction
Start by reviewing the Proton Experimental log, the linked system information, and the comparison with Proton-GE on the reported Arch system. Reproduce the mission-video freeze and weapon stutter with an NVIDIA GPU, then verify whether both issues can be resolved without disabling the KDE compositor.
