Symptoms

Game only starts when SafeMode is selected

Reproduction

Launch game -> select normal mode (not SafeMode) -> game doesn't start/shuts down shortly after start

Other info

Launching the game in SafeMode the game gets you into the main menu and i can correctly start a game. Haven't tested much more yet.
Unsure if the issue is with the intro splashes.

Launching with Proton-6.21-GE-1 yields a similar result except here you get to hear sound from one of the intro splash screen before it either shuts down again like experimental or just freezes

Edit: added 7.0-1 since it is still a issue.

Start by reviewing steam-311260.log and reproducing The Guild 3 with normal mode and SafeMode under the listed Proton versions. Compare the startup behavior and log output to determine why normal mode exits or freezes; done means the cause is identified and the game starts normally without SafeMode.
