Symptoms

With Proton 6.3-7 and current experimental, the game keeps asking to reconnect the controller (like every minute). Even though you are playing with a Keyboard & Mouse and never even had a controller connected in the first place. Other than that the game works fine if playing with a controller.

This problem does not occur with Proton GE 6.19-GE-2

Reproduction

• Make sure no controller is connected
• Launch the game
• When reaching the main menu, the game will start asking to reconnect a controller. And continues to do so even if you select to play with keyboard&mouse.

Start by reviewing the attached Proton logs and system_info.txt, then reproduce the controller reconnect prompts using Proton 6.3-7 or current experimental with no controller connected. Compare the behavior with Proton GE 6.19-GE-2; done means keyboard-and-mouse play no longer repeatedly requests a controller.
