Description

I couldn't find any documentation about that, so probably you could give me a hint:

I've installed the Microsoft Flight Simulator on windows through the Microsoft store. As it's running fine with Proton I'd like to start it from Linux without rebooting my machine now. But as it's such a huge program I don't want to reinstall it and just use the installation that's already on my windows drive (NTFS).

How can I locate the program files on the drive and then start it with the latest Proton?

Research direction

The issue names no repository file, test, or entry point. First determine whether Proton documents launching Microsoft Store installations from an NTFS Windows drive; done means a documented, reproducible way to locate the files and launch them with the latest Proton.
