Symptoms

the game does not start. looking in the logs, wine fails to move to the working directory. removing the ™ symbol in the file name path causes the game to work in other versions of wine (system wine 6.6 and lutris wine 6.0). this issue is persistant through other versions of wine in steam as well and with the beta version of steam pressure vessel

Reproduction

add a ™ symbol to the path of any game and it will not start under wine. wine will fail to open the path.

Start with steam-1128920.log and the reported reproduction case under Proton 6.3-2, comparing the game path containing ™ with the path without it. Done means EVERSPACE™ 2 can start under Proton when its path contains the trademark symbol.
