Symptoms and Reproduction

Launching the game from SteamVR Home or selecting to launch it in SteamVR mode starts it in pancake mode, not VR. Game seems to work normally, but never goes to VR. During the same VR session, both before and after trying to run the game, started other VR games and they worked normally.

Curiously enough, the game in pancake mode recognized the VR controls. It's just the display which never appeared in the HMR.
