Description

Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues:Skyrim Special Edition, Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk
  • Steam AppID of the game:489830,397540,1091500

System Information

//gist.github.com/):

  • Proton version: 5.13-4
  • Proton Version: Proton GE 5.21-GE-1 (This was an alternate attempt to get working)

I confirm:

  • [Y ] that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • [ Y] that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

All three games look to attempt launching, run briefly, then stop. I do know each use some kind of prelaunch graphic or launcher so maybe those are causing it? But I can't find info anywhere on how to fix it. Each game seemingly runs fine on most hardware according to protondb.
Note: I'm still pretty new to using Linux.

This is what's shown in the regular command line when I attempt running each game

Research direction

Start by reading the three attached Proton logs for AppIDs 397540, 489830, and 1091500, using the reported Proton 5.13-4 environment as context. Compare their launch failures and verify whether the prelaunch launchers are involved. Done would require identifying a reproducible cause and confirming that the affected games launch successfully.
