Symptoms

As soon as it launches, the screen is solid black. An intro sound plays, but the game doesn't do anything. The free demo version of the game worked fine, however.

Reproduction

Just launch the game. It happens every time, without fail. No user input is necessary to produce the problem, nor does any seem possible.

Start by reproducing Neon Abyss (Steam AppID 788100) with Proton 5.13-2 and review the attached steam-788100.log plus the linked system information report. Compare the behavior with the working demo and verify that the full game renders beyond the black screen and accepts input.
