Symptoms

When running the game under Proton 5.13-1, the native monitor resolution is no longer one of the resolution choices in the launcher dropdown. The highest available resolution is 2560x1440 (instead of ultrawide 3440x1440). As best I can tell this is only happening under Wayland; I tried both Sway and Gnome-Wayland and this bug occurs. It DOES NOT occur under X11 (Gnome xorg and i3), so I assume it is some interaction with XWayland causing the issue.

It DOES NOT occur when using Proton 5.0-9. When using that version more resolution options are available, including the monitor native resolution.

I've made sure the primary monitor's XWAYLAND screen is flagged as primary. I've also tried with both the current XWayland release and a build from current git (since there were changes to how resolutions are presented, I think...)

Reproduction

Run the game, choose 'fullscreen' in the launcher, and look at the resolution list

Start by reproducing the issue with Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours (Steam AppID 377870) under Wayland and X11, comparing Proton 5.13-1 with 5.0-9. Inspect steam-377870.log and the listed system information. Done means the native 3440x1440 resolution appears in the fullscreen launcher under Wayland without regressing X11 behavior.
