Symptoms

The Ship works fine with Proton 4.11-13, but for some reason, it only loads a black screen using Proton 5.0-9.

Not sure what changed between versions. I know that I had an authentication server error (found here: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2297) in Proton 3.16 but that was fixed with Proton 4.2-5.

Start by reviewing the attached steam-2400.log and linked system information, then compare behavior between Proton 4.11-13 and 5.0-9 in the listed environment. Done means identifying and correcting the regression so The Ship no longer opens to a black screen on Proton 5.0-9.
