Proton log:
https://decloud.owncube.com/s/sGPJ0rRY60vblFB
log was created with Proton 5.0.9
Symptoms
No sound except for the intro video, although it sounds very distorted (might be intentional by the game, idk).
Reproduction
Start the game with Proton 5.0.9 and get to the main menu and/or join a game.
Additional notes
I've also tested this with Proton 4.11 and sound is working then. If I then switch back to Proton 5.0.9 sound keeps working.

Research direction
No source file or test is identified in the report. Start by examining the linked Proton log and comparing the reported audio behavior between Proton 5.0.9 and 4.11; done would require identifying and resolving the regression without breaking the working version.
