Symptoms

The game does not launch.
I see nothing interesting in the log, but when I run the game in Steam in Wine, before anything I had to accept the EULA which did not happen with Proton, maybe there's something there.

I've tried the last 3 versions, but I saw no difference.
Other games run with Proton so it's not Proton not running on my system.
