Symptoms
When the game is installed to an secondary Steam library it will not launch. A black window appears for some moments then closes.
Reproduction
Download Bayonetta to a non-primary Steam library and attempt to launch the game.
Possible Fixes
I was eventually able to get the game working by using winecfg to add a D:\ drive pointing to the root directory of the game on the secondary filesystem.

Research direction
Reproduce Bayonetta (Steam AppID 460790) from a secondary Steam library and compare it with the primary-library case. Start with the reported Proton 4.11-11 environment and the winecfg workaround; done means the game launches from the secondary library without manually adding a D: drive.
