Description

Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues: Killing Floor: Incursion
  • Steam AppID of the game: 690810

System Information

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

steam-690810.log

Symptoms

Game will launch, and I can hear the main Tripwire logo music. There is a flash of some rendering / initialization of the world but then the screen goes black.

I have tried every proton option, and could not really decipher the debug logs. Maybe someone has ideas?

EDIT: Worth noting that I am playing it on a Valve Index using the latest SteamVR Beta.

Reproduction

Just launch the game.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the attached steam-690810.log alongside the linked system information report, then reproduce the launch using Proton Default 4.11.10 with the Valve Index and SteamVR Beta. No source file or test is identified; done would mean determining why the display turns black after launch and validating a fix with the stated reproduction steps.
