Description

Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues: Take On Mars
  • Steam AppID of the game: 244030

System Information

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

When running the first training mission for robotics, 2 minutes into the mission the game crashes.
The rest of the game seems to work fine. So it's not really a big deal, but it might be useful to look in to nonetheless.

Reproduction

Start the game
Select training
Select the robots tab
Click the begin button
Follow the steps of the training. After a few minutes, the game will crash, showing a crash dialog. (See screenshot)

Research direction

No source file or test is named. Start by reproducing the robotics training mission with Proton 4.11-9, then inspect steam-244030.log alongside the linked system information and reported driver and kernel versions. Done means identifying the crash cause and confirming whether a change prevents it.
