Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues:I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator
  • Steam AppID of the game: 1121910

System Information

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

steam-1121910.log

Symptoms

Opening up the game installs the dependencies without errors (as far as I can tell) and opens the game fine, shows a few logos but afterwards it's just white on the splash screen. Also tested with Proton version 3.16-9 and tried the beta listed for the game, same symptoms.

Reproduction

  1. Install game
  2. Launch game
  3. Wait for logos to stop showing

Research direction

Start by reviewing steam-1121910.log and reproducing the launch on Proton 4.11-6, then compare with the reported Proton 3.16-9 behavior. The issue is resolved when I Love You, Colonel Sanders! proceeds past the white splash screen after the logos instead of remaining blank.
