Disclaimer

The game was NOT installed via steam as I don't own the steam version, so I'm also running it via the proton version provided by the system!

Symptoms

Running the game results in wine outputting:

0061:err:seh:setup_exception stack overflow 1792 bytes in thread 0061 eip 000000007bc68d9a esp 0000000000140f10 stack 0x140000-0x141000-0x520000

Reproduction

Simply trying to run the game executable via wine.

Additional information

I experimented with older versions of the game, they all seem to have the same problem.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the game's executable launch with the reported Proton 4.11.2-1 environment and review the stack-overflow output. The report names no source file or test; done would be a confirmed compatibility fix or a documented cause for the startup crash.
