Symptoms

Same behavior as EDF 4.1 (#1193), the game hangs when selecting an empty save slot (so probably whenever it tries to open the ingame keyboard, if it's the same issue)
It might work if there is a save file already available, I will reinstall Windows to create a save and test again with that.

Reproduction

1. Start the game
2. Try to create a new save by selecting an empty slot

Start with the linked Proton log and the reproduction steps for Earth Defense Force 5, then compare the behavior with related issue #1193. Verify whether selecting an empty save slot still hangs on the reported Proton and Linux setup; done means the save-slot flow no longer hangs.
