Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues: Audioshield

Symptoms

Ingame controller positions (pointer / shields) stop updating if the VR dashboard is opened. Game still responds to trigger / menu button but not movement. HMD pose appears to be unaffected. Controllers still work correctly in the dashboard itself.

While a song is loading, the VR dashboard opens on its own, causing the ingame controller positions to stop updating.

Partial workaround: disable VR dashboard in SteamVR settings and launch game from Steam desktop UI.

Reproduction

Launch game and load a song.

Research direction

Start with the attached steam-412740.log and reproduce the issue by launching Audioshield and loading a song with Proton 4.2-5. Confirm that opening the VR dashboard stops pointer and shield movement while trigger and menu input remain responsive. Done means controller positions continue updating after dashboard use and during song loading.
