Description

Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues: Sprint Vector
  • Steam AppID of the game: 590690

System Information

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Log is too large to attach (130MB). Most of it is trace:seh stuff.

Symptoms

Near-constant, severe stuttering. Not enough to trigger the fallback room, but you definitely get nauseous in short order.

WINEDEBUG=-all did not seem to apply unless manually run via /tmp/proton_user/run. Even then, it didn't impact performance at all.

Reproduction

Launch the game. If you perform the start-up calibration and enter the main lobby it's much more pronounced.

Research direction

Start by launching Sprint Vector with Proton 4.2-5 and checking the startup calibration and main lobby, where stuttering is reported. No source file, test, or entry point is identified, and the report says the log is too large to attach. Done is not defined beyond determining whether the severe stuttering can be reproduced and addressed.
