Symptoms
Game only shows black screen on start. Crashes immediately after pressing Enter on the keyboard (possibly will do the same with any other keys).
Reproduction
Start the game.
Misc
This game is pretty much an enhanced version of the original game, Fairy Fencer F (347830), which has a separate Proton issue here https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/1852.
An unconfirmed list of the differences can be found on this discussion.
I also have the previous game, but it's too big for me to spend internet bandwidth to also download & install.
If it's merely to provide a Proton log, I thought it would be wiser to make one for this game instead, as it's a better one to play once the issue is solved (I knew it wouldn't work beforehand).
Anyways, I think the issue is related with all the current playback issues (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/1464). I can find mf.dll and mfplat.dll on my Proton log. I'm guessing the game immediately starts with a cutscene, hence the immediate black screen and crash.

Research direction
Start with the attached steam-524580.log and reproduce the black screen and crash using Proton 4.2-3. Compare the mf.dll and mfplat.dll entries with the related playback issue #1464, then document a verified cause or compatibility result for this game.
