Research direction
Start by reproducing AppID 264480 from the Steam client with Proton 4.2-3 and inspect steam-264480.log alongside system_info.txt. The report names no repository file or test; work is complete when the launcher’s Play/Configure failure is explained and a verified Proton compatibility fix is recorded.
