Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

protocd.txt
log.txt

The game came up but went into the repair screen. I press the repair, and sometimes it will do the update, and other times it won't. However, either way, the game stays on that screen. This only happened after the last update.

All of my other Steam Apps still work. Only Creative Destruction stopped working.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the attached protocd.txt and log.txt alongside the reported Creative Destruction repair-screen behavior on Slackware64 14.2. Reproduce the launch after the Steam client update and use the logs to narrow the failure to a concrete Proton component. Done means the game reaches its normal launch state or the failure is documented with a specific, reproducible cause.
