Symptoms
The game starts up OOTB and runs pretty great. But when a gamepad is connected, it will scroll to the left all the time, which breaks the menu and the actual gameplay. The game uses Xinput for gamepad support.
Reproduction
- connect a gamepad to the computer
- start the game
- try to play with the gamepad

Research direction
Start by reproducing the gamepad input problem with BARRIER X (Steam AppID 463150) using Proton 3.16-6, then inspect steam-463150.log and the linked system report. Confirm the investigation against the listed Xinput reproduction steps; done means the left-scrolling behavior is resolved without breaking gamepad menu or gameplay input.
