Symptoms

Trying to play game forcing Steam Play with new update, since Linux version can't do LAN and has graphics issues.

game_launcher.exe loads just fine. Selecting either the Direct X10 & 11 option or the Direct X9 option leads to game not launching. Steam detects the game as running, but no window is created, and game eventually closes.

Reproduction

Trying to bypass launcher by renaming game files didn't work, game still didn't launch.

Disabling Esync didn't work, using Wine D3D11 didn't work, disabling
d3d11 didn't work for Direct X9 version.
