I confirm:
- that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
- that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.
steam-7800.log
Note that I don't upload the complete log because there seems to be an infinite loop or recursive func call, so the log fills up to 75 MB in the first seconds.
$ grep -c '0008:0009:trace:seh:call_stack_handlers calling handler at 0x7bc805f0 code=c0000005 flags=10' steam-7800.log.bak
415416
$ grep -c '0008:0009:trace:seh:call_stack_handlers handler at 0x7bc805f0 returned 2' steam-7800.log
417241
The duplicate lines are thus removed, otherwise the file is too heavy. If you still need the complete log, I will reupload it.
Symptoms
After the game is started, the screen remains black, the game doesn't respond to key/mousepress, after a while Gnome suggests to force quit the app.
Reproduction
Start the game, sit back, watch.

Research direction
Start by reviewing steam-7800.log and report.txt, then reproduce the issue by starting the game with Proton 3.7-8 or the listed 3.16 versions. Done means the game no longer remains on a black screen or stops responding; the report notes that a complete log may be needed.
