Symptoms
Consistent application failures during launch process due to incorrect d3dcompiler_47.dll file (required by trueSKY plugin):

Reproduction
- Select the title within your
Libraryusing the Steam client and press thePlaybutton
Workaround
- Download and install the Windows 10 SDK
- Copy the d3dcompiler_47.dll file from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Redist\D3D\x86to~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame/supercross/Binaries/Win64/
The application should now work as expected but no in-game skybox is generated and the Track Editor displays a black screen.
NOTE: The latest D3DCompiler versions are only distributed as part of the Windows OS and related SDKs.

Research direction
Start with steam-711750.log and the linked system information report, then review the reported d3dcompiler_47.dll workaround and its effects on the skybox and Track Editor. Done means the game launches without the workaround and those reported rendering problems are resolved.
