Symptoms

Game closes on start. The relevant information from Proton log is:

14828.213:0008:0009:err:mscoree:CLRRuntimeInfo_GetRuntimeHost Wine Mono is not installed

This is the same kind of issue I've found on "Batman: Arkham City". Lack of .NET has been generally solved by running winecfg and setting the Windows Version to Windows XP. I've done that, even with a prefix created from scratch, but it doesn't solve for this game, I keep getting the "Wine Mono is not installed" log, it's like the game setup isn't caring to install .NET, game launching preparation is faster than usual. I could try installing it manually, with winetricks maybe, but I dunno how, or which .NET version.

Research direction

Start with the Proton log excerpt and the linked Batman: Arkham City report, then compare the reported Wine Mono/.NET setup behavior. Check the suggested winecfg and winetricks paths in a clean prefix and record whether the game launches and which setup is required.
