Symptoms

The game needs xact installed and xaudio2_7 set to native, otherwise it crashes on the first loading screen. The game runs fine then, however when exiting the game, it still crashes. The game error.log reports an access violation of user32.dll, I've attached that error.log file and the proton log when xact is installed:

Reproduction

1. Start the game and try to get past the first loading screen.

Start by reproducing the first-loading-screen crash with Proton 3.16-3 and the attached steam-638070.log. Compare the logs with xact installed and xaudio2_7 set to native, then inspect error.log for the exit-time user32.dll access violation. Done means the game loads and exits without either crash.
