Symptoms

This game nearly runs flawlessly and I would say it is almost capable of being whitelisted. I only found 2 issues (1 minor, 1 a little larger). When you launch the game, the launcher will appear but the text doesn't appear until you move your mouse over the buttons, then the text appears fine. The second issue is the fact that when I launched the game, the intro videos ran at about 1 - 5 fps and when you start a new game, the new game intro cutscenes did as well. Everything else in the game ran flawlessly.

Small caveat to issue number 2. When I relaunched the game, the intro videos ran fine, I can't explain why.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the attached steam-34010.log alongside the reported launcher text and intro-video symptoms. Reproduce Alpha Protocol with Proton 3.7-6 on the reported system if possible; the issue is complete when the compatibility problems are isolated and a specific, verified change is identified.
