Description

Whitelist Request

  • Name of the game to be whitelisted: GEARCRACK Arena
  • Steam AppID of the game: 301480

System Information

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
  • Driver/LLVM version: NVIDIA 396.54
  • Kernel version: 4.18.9
  • Link to full system information report as Gist:
  • Proton version: 3.7-6

I confirm:

  • that pressing the Play button in the Steam client is sufficient.
  • that runtime config options
are necessary to run the game.
  • that no workarounds other than the mentioned ones are necessary.

Issues

  • I haven't experienced any issues.
  • There are no issues left open for this game.
  • Although I consider the gaming experience equal to Windows there are
    remaining issues:

Additional Notes

  • This game has random chance of death when hit, testing is non-deterministic
  • Full game functionality tested as the game is not very complex and re-uses assets heavily
  • Who cares that Valve banned it from being sold in the store? It's in my library, so I tested it!

Research direction

Review the Steam AppID 301480 and the supplied Proton and system information first. Done means confirming the game's whitelist status from the reported successful Play-button test; the issue names no source file or test to change.
