Description

Whitelist Request

  • Name of the game to be whitelisted: Realms of the Haunting
  • Steam AppID of the game: 292390

System Information

  • GPU: GTX 1080
  • Driver/LLVM version: nvidia 396.54
  • Kernel version: 4.18.6
  • Link to full system information report as Gist
  • Proton version: 3.7-6

I confirm:

  • that pressing the Play button in the Steam client is sufficient.
  • that runtime config options are necessary to run the game.
  • that no workarounds other than the mentioned ones are necessary.

Issues

  • I haven't experienced any issues.
  • There are no issues left open for this game.
  • Although I consider the gaming experience equal to Windows there are
remaining issues: This is a DOSBox game, and emulating DOSBox is stupid, 2 layers of emulation. Which is why the FPS is not ideal, the game drops to 40-50 FPS at times.

Research direction

The report names no source file, test, or code entry point to inspect. Review the Proton whitelist request and the reported game and system details; done would require a maintainer decision on whether Realms of the Haunting should be whitelisted.
