Description

Compatibility Report

The complete build-a-lot series parts 1 through 4 have screen swiping issues. The screen swipe is very slow on Proton, it takes a minute on Proton where it only takes a second on Windows or WINE.

System Information

  • GPU: Core i7-3820QM, Intel HD graphics 4000 integrated gpu
  • Driver/LLVM version: Mesa 18.2
  • Kernel version: 4.18
  • Link to full system information report as Gist:
  • Proton version: 3.7-3

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the slow screen swipes in the Build-a-Lot series under Proton, comparing them with Windows or WINE. Collect the requested PROTON_LOG output and use it to identify the cause; done means the transitions perform comparably to the working environments.
