Description

All three King's Bounty Games (as packaged in the Platinum Edition [6121] ) work perfectly out of the box.

The only thing I noticed was that if you put the Shadows to High, then there's a remarkable FPS drop (from consistent vsync'd 60fps down to ~30-35fps), though I have no idea if that would happen on other OSes as well.

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is named. Start by reproducing the FPS drop with Shadows set to High on the listed Debian, Proton, GPU, and driver setup, then compare it with other settings or operating systems if available. Done means determining whether the performance drop is specific to Proton and documenting the results.
