Description
I am unable to change the refresh rate for both the singleplayer and multiplayer Call of Duty 4. In the settings, the default is 60Hz and does not change on click even though it is being played on a 144Hz monitor. I have attempted disabling non-144Hz monitors but the issue remained. Using Xorg, Proton 3.7-3, nVidia 396.54 driver on Kubuntu 18.04.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are identified. Reproduce Call of Duty 4 in both singleplayer and multiplayer with Proton 3.7-3 on Kubuntu 18.04 using Xorg and the listed NVIDIA driver; the issue is resolved when the 144Hz refresh rate can be selected and used.
