Symptoms

The game currently cannot detect save files from games from Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 to unlock the in game golden camo. preorder camo is not affected.

Reproduction

1. ensure you have save data in Metal Gear Solid (2131630), Metal Gear Solid 2 (2131640) or Metal Gear Solid 3 (2131650).
2. Launch Metal Gear Solid 4 from Steam with any Proton version.
3. Navigate the launcher to launch the actual game.
4. At some point from going from the main menu, to either starting a new game or loading a previous one, you should get an in game pop up announcing that you have unlocked the golden camo. This does not happen under proton.
