Description

Hi,

I tried to package Fossilize for Debian, but currently it's not possible because submodules of spirv-* are "random" git versions newer then released versions. Would it be possible to support building against release versions of spirv submodules?

Best,
Dylan

Research direction

Start by inspecting the repository’s submodule configuration and build setup to see how the spirv-* revisions are selected. Compare those revisions with released versions available to Debian and identify the supported configuration needed; done means Fossilize builds against released spirv submodules without relying on random snapshots.
