Stops working after a short while

Describe the bug
I would be happily using the extension, until all of sudden, I can't escape to NORMAL mode, or go to INSERT... and can't even type anymore in the code panel. I can however type everywhere else it seems. I can also click anywhere.

I then need to go to the vim extension, disable to restart it, and re-enable it.

I enabled vim developer debug mode, but nothing shows in the console output under Vim.

To be honest, I can't find a way to trigger it. It just happens soon or later.

Environment (please complete the following information):

Ensure you are on the latest VSCode + VSCodeVim
You can use "Report Issue" by running "Developer: Show Running Extensions" from the Command Palette to prefill these.

I actually can't, nothing happens. I am not sure what it's supposed to do. Other extensions won't work either.

It started just a few weeks ago, never happened before.

Start by reproducing the reported failure in VSCodeVim 1.31.0 on VSCode 1.105.1 and macOS 15.7.1, then inspect the Vim developer debug output when the code panel stops accepting input. Done means identifying a reproducible cause and restoring NORMAL/INSERT mode and typing without disabling and re-enabling the extension.
