visual multi-cursor mode very hard to use

I like insert multi-cursor mode or normal multi-cursor or vscode's original multi-cursor.

While I really hate visual multi-cursor mode in which editing/cursor moving becoming very confusing.

I set C-d / C-u to false in vim.handleKeys

    "vim.handleKeys": {
         "<C-d>": false, 
         "<C-u>": false
    }
}

in order to use C-d to add cursor in insert mode.

But the editor enter visual multi-cursor mode as I press C-d in insert mode and expecting it stay in insert mode. Anyway to stop C-d change into visual mode?

Start at the vim.handleKeys C-d configuration and the insert-to-visual multi-cursor key handling described in the issue. Reproduce with C-d in insert mode and compare behavior with insert and normal multi-cursor modes. Done means C-d adds a cursor without entering visual multi-cursor mode while the shown configuration is active.
