Description

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
This might be a problem, but there seems to be no way to disable the Vim navigaion (hjkl etc.) in the file explorer. This is becoming an annoyance since I prefer the default searching/filtering behavior of the file explorer rather than searching with /.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to have the default functionality of searching/filtering in the file explorer where typing would jump to the nearest match of the characters typed. Having a setting to disable Vim navigation only in the file explorer would be great.

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named in the issue. Start by locating the file-explorer keybindings and existing Vim navigation settings, then verify that a setting can disable Vim navigation only there while preserving the default type-to-search/filter behavior.
