Description
Describe the solution you'd like
A fade effect for the background color when using yank.
Describe alternatives you've considered
A similar effect can be seen in Atom's vim-mode
Additional context
To clarify, I mean a fade in relation to time, for example if the background color was determined using a css rule, I'm referring to something like "transition: 0.5s;" for fading out, not in.

Research direction
No files or tests are identified in the issue. Start by locating the yank highlight implementation and reviewing how its background color is applied; compare the requested behavior with Atom's vim-mode. Done means the yank highlight fades out over time rather than disappearing abruptly.
