Research direction

Reproduce the reported failure on VS Code 1.61.2, Linux, with VSCodeVim v1.21.10 using the listed steps, then compare it with v1.11.3 where key bindings work. Use the linked remapping-debugging guidance if logs are needed; done means key bindings respond correctly in the affected setup.
